Water Analysis

Alpha Analytical is a state-of-the-art laboratory providing all aspects of water analysis for environmental applications. Our lab conducts every water analysis project in accordance with federal and state guidelines and the requirements of the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP).

We support a wide range of aqueous sampling applications, ranging from drinking water, storm water, wastewater, groundwater, and sediment porewater and offer an extensive list of analytical parameters for aqueous samples. These include conventional water quality applications,  regulatory compliance, water treatment and site characterization applications for regulated and unregulated compounds.

Please see our Emerging Contaminants, Sediment/Tissue, and Hydrocarbon Forensics discussions for an in-depth review of the aqueous samples analyses we provide. To address the environmental community’s considerable interest and demand for analyzing water samples for per-and polyfluorinated alkylated substances (PFAS), visit this page for more information.

Water Analysis Areas of Expertise Include:

  • Emerging Contaminants
    • PFAS
    • 1,4-dioxane
    • perchlorate
  • Volatile and Semivolatile Organics
  • Dioxins and Furans
  • Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)
  • Pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Petroleum Analysis

What Our Clients Are Saying

“One Sunday afternoon I received a request to sample due to a release. I contacted Dave Boring to discuss our needs and timing. We reconvened 15 minutes later with the logistics and how we would get the bottle ware and get the samples back to Alpha on Sunday. I can always count on Dave to work through any issue. ”
